Flat,
oval-shaped insects about 30mm long and covered with a mouldy
coating. They produce ‘honeydew’ on which sooty mould
occurs, blackening plants, especially ornamentals. Found in
colonies.
Spray
on appearance. They are difficult to kill because they shelter
n inaccessible part so the plant protected by a waxy wool.
