Pest Description When to treat Recommended solution
Codling Moth The white grub grows from eggs laid near the young fruit. Later it burrows into fruit. Common in apples, also in pear, quince and occasionally plum. Tunnels are evident in the fruit with holes showing outside. Spray at 2-weekly intervals from petal-fall to end of December, then at 3-weekly intervals. Organix Pyrethrum Insect Spray
