Petal Blight

Scientific name: Ovulinia spp.

Description

A common disease that is known to affect the flowers of Azalea plants. The symptoms often arrive during the flowering stage and the damage can increase in cooler weather. Remove all damaged flowers from the plant and the garden bed to minimise further infection. Plants that have been previously infected can be treated in a preventative manner via application of an appropriate product once the plant has produced buds.
